We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable and motivated Facilities Service Assistants to join our Community Hospital team. This is an important role that helps create a safe, clean and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and colleagues across our hospitals.
Main duties of the job
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout wards, patient rooms, offices, kitchens and communal areas.
- Supporting ward teams with housekeeping duties.
- Assisting with the preparation, regeneration and serving of patient meals and beverages.
- Handling linen, waste management and stock replenishment.
- Undertaking environmental and cleaning audits and completing monitoring records.
- Operating cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Supporting infection prevention and control measures.
- Working collaboratively with ward teams, patients, visitors and colleagues.
- Responding flexibly to service needs across hospital sites when required.
