We are looking for enthusiastic Facilities Operatives to join our dedicated Facilities Team, helping to create a safe, clean and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.
This role plays a vital part in supporting patient care and ensuring excellent standards of hygiene across our healthcare facilities.
There are various posts available including the following hours:-
Post 1 - 21 hours per week to be worked 4:00pm-7:00pm over 5 shifts per week
Post 2 - 19 hours per week to be worked 4:00pm - 7:00pm over 4 shifts per week and 11:30am - 7:00pm 1 shift per week
Post 3 - 15 hours per week to be worked 4.00pm - 7:00pm to be worked over 5 shifts per week
The above posts also include some weekend working
Post 4 - 30 hours per week to be worked 07:00am - 1:00pm, Monday to Friday
Post 4 - 15 hours per week to be worked 4:00pm - 7:00pm, Monday to Friday
Main duties of the job
As a Facilities Operative, you will:
- Clean clinical and non-clinical areas to the highest standards.
- Maintain floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings and sanitary facilities.
- Collect and dispose of waste safely.
- Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
- Carry out specialist cleaning tasks when required.
- Work closely with patients, nursing teams and colleagues to provide an excellent service.

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
