The Executive Director of Finance & Infrastructure is a key Executive Board member who provides a unique and critical role in support of the Chief Executive in their responsibility as Accountable Officer. They provide specialist advice to the Executive Team on financial matters whilst ensuring the Trust’s financial health and sustainability. The Executive Director of Finance & Infrastructure is the strategic financial leader for the Trust, developing and implementing long-term (3 years +) financial strategies. The postholder is responsible for an annual turnover exceeding £1.2bn and delivery of rapid cost reduction, improving system performance, and aligning financial planning with health equity and sustainability goals across the Health and Social Care agenda in the Northern area and regionally. The postholder leads the planning and delivery of high-quality infrastructure service and capital investment strategy (including major projects) that support safe and effective patient and service user care.
