EPR Communications Manager (Band 7)
Initially Stepping Hill Hospital although working across Stockport & Tameside 37.5 hours per week | 2-year secondment or Fixed term contract
We are seeking expressions of interest for a Band 7 EPR Communications Manager role within our joint EPR Programme across Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.
We need someone who can make complex change feel simple.
This is a senior communications role at the heart of a major Electronic Patient Record programme across two NHS Trusts. You'll be shaping how 10,000+ staff, patients and partners understand and adopt transformational change.
You'll lead all communications and engagement for the EPR programme, working with communications staff across both Trusts through matrix management arrangements and with direct access to Programme Board.
Your remit:
Lead EPR communications strategies across all implementation phases
Translate complex EPR functionality into clear messaging for clinicians, managers and patients
Manage communications during resistance, crisis and critical moments like go-live
Build networks of EPR Ambassadors and create multimedia content that cuts through
Provide expert counsel to the Programme Director and senior leaders
Strong track record in strategic communications for major transformation programmes. What matters most is whether you can:
Take technical complexity and make it accessible
Keep people on board when change gets hard
Work at pace across multiple channels - digital, video, events, campaigns
Give honest advice to senior stakeholders
Navigate organisational politics without losing your way
Your job is to stop this feeling like it's done to people. You'll make sure this stays focused on patient care and staff experience, not just new software. And you'll bring people along so adoption is embraced, not forced.
If you understand that great communications is about people first, messages second - and you're ready to lead that at scale - get in touch.
The job description gives an overview of the main tasks and responsibilities of the role, and the person specifications focusses on the qualifications, skills, experience and knowledge required. These documents are attached on the page and can be downloaded.
