Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Head of EOC, Remote Clinical Care and Governance, the EOC Operations Manager, Remote Clinical Care is a senior leader responsible for the safe, effective and resilient delivery of remote clinical care and AQI Hear and Treat services across Emergency Operations Centres, aligned to Trust strategy and operational priorities.
The post holder will provide visible leadership to the EOC Clinical Team, ensuring high standards of performance, patient safety, quality, governance and people management. They will line manage EOC Clinical Team Managers, promoting accountability, sound professional judgement and continuous improvement.
Working in a fast-paced environment, they will make decisions that balance patient safety, service performance and staff wellbeing. As part of the EOC Senior Leadership Team, they will support Trust objectives, national standards and contractual requirements while embedding consistent, evidence-based practice and high-quality care.
Acting as the Trust’s expert in Remote Clinical Triage, the post holder will provide specialist advice across EOC services, maintain clinical competence, and work with colleagues to ensure effective processes and standards across health and safety, IPC, estates and audit.
The role requires strong partnership working, regular travel to Exeter and Bristol EOCs, and travel across the South West region as required.

- Registered Clinician (HCPC, NMC or GMC)
- Educated to post graduate level (or significant demonstrable equivalent experience)
- Full Driving Licence
- Previous managerial / leadership experience

- Blue light driving qualification
- Command qualified
Previous experience (Paid/ Unpaid relevant to job)

- Experience of operational delivery/ operations management
