Job summary

Skilled Electrician

We are looking for an experienced Skilled Electrician to join our Estates team, working across multiple sites throughout Hampshire.

If you have a strong background in maintaining, repairing, and installing complex electrical systems and plant, and are looking to develop your skills in a rewarding healthcare setting, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Main duties of the job

Key activities/responsibilities will be to carry out and/or oversee the repair/maintenance/installation of complex plant and equipment.

This will involve a multi-skilled approach as well as the full range of duties associated with the post holder's primary trade as an Electrician.

This will include planned preventative maintenance and reactive repair works across varying systems, acting as an Authorised Person (AP) in LV Electrical to include the issuing of permits to work, carrying out electrical shutdowns in a compliant and recorded manner to assist with Maintenance works or larger Capital Project works.

  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and follow detailed technical instructions.

Qualifications

Essential

  • An electrical background with an NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma or equivalent qualification in an appropriate electrically biased engineering discipline
  • BS7671 (Current Edition) of IET Wiring Regulations
  • Able to fault-find diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
  • Knowledge of planned maintenance systems.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • Time served apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Driving License.

Desirable

  • Testing and inspection qualification
