Elective Bookings Officer (Band 3) 37.5 hours per week | Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Gynaecology Waiting List Bookings Team at Wexham Park Hospital as an Elective Bookings Officer.

In this vital role, you will play a key part in supporting patient care by coordinating and managing elective inpatient bookings. You’ll be responsible for scheduling and rescheduling procedures, ensuring patients receive timely and efficient service throughout their pathway.

Based at Frimley Park Hospital, this position offers a dynamic and supportive working environment where no two days are the same. You will work both independently and as part of a dedicated team, contributing to the smooth running of the service.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in a hospital or busy office environment.
  • Experience in difficult patient situations.

Desirable

  • Call centre experience
  • NHS experience

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE English and Maths pass or equivalent
  • ECDL or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 2 Administration or equivalent practical knowledge

Skills and Knowledge

Essential

  • Good communication skills both verbal and in writing
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy when completing tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work using own initiative
  • Excellent customer service skills and evidence of dealing with telephones and meeting targets
