Main duties of the job
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individuals to join our experienced Senior Nursing Team within Ward 1. The successful applicants will work closely with a Band 7 Senior Sister to deliver high standards of patient care and provide robust support to staff across the unit. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
You will be expected to: • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team • Demonstrate excellent communication, motivation, and enthusiasm • Take on managerial responsibility for a number of staff within the nursing team • Lead nurse-led care on a shift-by-shift basis • Deliver gold-standard nursing practice across a diverse emergency caseload • Act as a role model, leading by example in all areas of clinical practice • Take charge in the absence of other senior staff • Manage and respond to complaints and Datix reports professionally • Champion specific areas of departmental interest to support ongoing service development This is an ideal opportunity for nurses looking to step into senior leadership, with full support from an experienced and forward-thinking management team.
