A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic nurse to become part of the Senior F19 Team. F19  is a 28 bedded unit that looks after patients that have sustained traumatic injuries.

F19 receive patients directly from the Emergency Department (ED), theatre, patients stepping down from Critical Care and patients that are transferred from other hospitals. You will be supported to access new opportunities to learn new skills and career progress within our team. F19 is a forward thinking environment which encourages education and development of all staff. Our education team will support opportunities for you to develop specific trauma knowledge and competencies, both in and away from the ward environment and enable you to create a development plan.

To act as the deputy to the ward sister, regularly taking charge of the Unit and ensuring that the standards and quality of care given to the patients, together with a safe environment in which care is delivered and high standards are maintained.

Be an effective leader and role model for staff.  To provide regular direct clinical care and use experience to support the implementation of both clinical and non‑clinical governance.
