We are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate, highly motivated Band 6 to join the existing Team on Women's Health Ward. This post is to cover Maternity Leave for 12 months.
You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a genuine enthusiasm in caring for women undergoing all aspects of Breast and Gynaecological care this includes supporting women undergoing management of Miscarriage and termination of pregnancy.
This post would include supervision of junior members of the team, coordinating the ward on shift, and providing support to Ward Manager and to enable junior members of the team to develop. Ideally you should have a least 12 months experience as a Band 5.

Main duties of the job
Women’s Health Ward is a 12 bed ward, with 1 bed allocated for Emergency Gynaecology Assessment. The successful candidate will support women undergoing management of miscarriage and termination of pregnancy.

Maintain clinical credibility to act as a role model and take a lead role in the patient’s journey.
- Deputise for the Ward/Department Manager when required.
- Act as Shift-co-ordinator to facilitate effective patient care pathways and ensure that patient care remains a priority in inter-professional practice and that timely referrals to the MDT and discharge planning take place.
