This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our senior clinical leadership team as the Deputy Divisional Nurse Director for the Women's and Children's Division, covering neonatal services and gynaecology.
You will work with the Divisional Nurse Director and be an integral part of the senior management divisional triumvirate to help influence strategic direction and vision. There will also be a requirement to work as part of the operational perinatal leadership team due to neonatal element of the portfolio.
You will be part of a fast paced, supportive team that puts the patients first. We will offer you support and direction that will help expand your professional portfolio and own personal development in a highly rewarding role within an established team.
Main duties of the job
The role will require a proven record of senior leadership experience, working with the wider multidisciplinary team and other registrants. You will be required to supervise, mentor, and develop senior nursing and business unit leaders within the division, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Using compassionate and inclusive leadership skills you will be expected to be promote high standards of clinical care. Governance and risk management is essential to patient safety, therefore you will need a good working knowledge to be able to support and to advise the team.
Communication skills are essential, along with self awareness and emotional intelligence, to work with a wide range of individuals and be able to connect with a division based over multiple sites and clinical areas. You will be instrumental in promoting the nursing agenda both divisionally and at Trust level by supporting the Divisional Nurse Director and deputising in their absence. You will be required to deliver nursing objectives that help transform patient pathways and improve patient experience and contribute to the nursing voice.
