Job overview

We have a post available within the Darlington Crisis Team and we are looking for passionate, skilled qualified clinician to join us.

The team provides crisis services to adults within the Durham area, providing a 24 hour crisis line, telephone triage, initial assessments, and a place of safety for those detained on section 136 by police.

Main duties of the job

The team operates over 24 hours, 7 day a week, 12-hour shifts.

This is a band 5 post open to registered nurses, occupational therapists and social workers with current relevant registration with the NMC, HCPC or SWE. This post is suitable for newly qualified applicants.

You will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and there is ample opportunity to develop and enhance your existing clinical skills. You will receive regular supervision and there are good training opportunities.

As a member of the team you will provide a service to those individuals who present with a mental health crisis. Applicants should be highly motivated, have the ability to act on own initiative and have sound assessment and written skills.

Student Nurse's that are due to register in the next 3 months are very welcome to apply. Full training and Preceptorship programme will be provided to help you build confidence and develop your career in this specialist area.
