Due to the progression of the current post holder we are pleased to advertise for a Band 5 Crisis Clinician within the Harrogate Crisis Resolution and Intensive Home Treatment Team.

The Harrogate Crisis Resolution and Intensive Home Treatment Team are seeking a full time band 5 clinician - open to registered nurses, occupational therapists and social workers with current relevant registration with the NMC, HCPC or SWE. The post holder will be part of a resilient, welcoming and professional team who work collaboratively with internal and external partners to meet the needs of those who are experiencing a crisis in their mental health needs.

This post is not open to Newly Registered Nurses, candidates must have their NMC registration in place and successfully completed the preceptorship programme in order to be considered.

Main duties of the job

The team takes a recovery orientated, formulation driven approach which values shared decision making.

The team will be based at The Orchards, Ripon, and operates over 24 hours, 7 days a week with a 12 hour shift working pattern.

The team are able to support newly qualified clinicians through the preceptorship programme.

Successful applicants will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and there is ample opportunity to develop and enhance your existing clinical skills. You will receive regular supervision and there are good training opportunities.

As a member of the team you will provide a service to those individuals who present with a mental health crisis who may require a period of crisis intervention as an alternative to admission. The team are also responsible for gatekeeping admissions to the acute admission wards as well as supporting bed management.

Qualifications

  • RNMH, current professional registration with NMC or Social Worker, current professional registration with HCPC
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • MIP, FLIP, ENB 998 Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice or City & Guilds 730 Teaching in Adult Education or willingness to work towards. Qualification must be achieved within agreed timescale.
  • Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)

Desirable

  • Post-graduate qualification in a relvant area
