Were looking for an experienced and highly skilled Consultant General Surgeon to join our dedicated team at the Practice Plus Group Hospital Birmingham. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality elective care in a modern, brand new, purpose-built hospital.
Youll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering specialist care, with first-line cover provided by RMOs, the on-call responsibility is minimal and shared on a rota with colleagues.
Main duties of the job
As our General Surgeon, you will provide a full range of surgical diagnosis, treatment and care to inpatients, day patients and outpatients who require general surgery.
As a key member of the centres team you will be working closely with our team of Consultants across a wide range of specialisms and the hospitals Medical Director, and local Leadership Team.

- Experience of working in general surgery, especially laparoscopic procedures (hernia repair and cholecystectomy).
- Able to conduct clinical audits
- Able to communicate well with patients and staff, both orally and in writing.
