Are you an enthusiastic, forward-thinking nurse who can adapt to changing priorities and deliver high quality nursing care?  The Purbeck Community Learning Disability Team is staffed by a passionate and dedicated team and is looking for a like-minded nurse to join us.  This is an excellent opportunity to practice within the challenging yet rewarding field of community learning disability nursing.

Working part time (22.5hrs per week) the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their commitment to work proactively and in partnership with people with learning disabilities, their families and carers and support them to live successfully in the community.

Main duties of the job

This role requires you to maintain effective links with mainstream services, working in partnership with colleagues and supporting equal access to healthcare.  You will be committed to improving outcomes for our service users and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in supporting the health needs and health promotion to support and empower people with a Learning disability.

The successful candidate will be working directly alongside our existing nurses, trainee nurse associate as well as other members of our multidisciplinary team across our area.

The team uses a combination of virtual and in person contacts with professionals and service users alike.

Clinical documentation is in electronic form and training is given to all new staff.

The Team hours are Monday to Friday 9- 5.

Being able to drive a car and have access to a car for business purposes is also essential
