Job summary

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team. The Community Resilience Team (CRT) are responsible for the development of volunteer and community resources, including Community First Responders (CFRs), Co-responders and local community initiatives.

The post holder must have excellent communication, training and administration skills with an innate ability to engage a range of stakeholders both internal and external to the trust.

Through your work, more lives will be saved from pre-hospital cardiac arrest in the communities ofYorkshire.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be accountable for Community First Responders, volunteer schemes and their contribution to safe service delivery of pre-hospital care in a defined geographical location. As a Team Leader within the Community Resilience Team, you will be responsible for first line supervision of volunteers and volunteer performance - the key areas of focus will include education, training and mentoring to ensure a safe, professional and progressive volunteering environment and team engagement - fostering effective communication within the team and wider Trust, promoting openness and inclusivity at all times, working in remote locations with an element of evening and weekend working.

Essential

  • Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs of individuals and groups.

Knowledge & education

Essential

  • Hold a valid Teaching qualification, Award in education and training (AET) or equivalent
  • Hold a FREC (First Response Emergency Care) Level 4 or above

Experience & work achievements

Essential

  • Experience of delivering learning and/or education programmes
  • Must hold a full, current UK/European driving licence
  • Experience of developing, leading and supporting volunteer
