Northumbria Community Dental are excited to appoint to the post of Community Dental Officer within the Community Dental Service covering both Northumberland and North Tyneside.
We are a team of clinicians providing dental care to vulnerable populations of both adults and children, covering 9 clinical sites.
The successful candidate must show outstanding clinical skills evidenced through experience of working with our population, leadership skills, have audit and quality improvement experience and be flexible to the needs of the service. Working as a dental officer involves working independently, supporting patients with informed decision making, whilst managing your time and clinic. There will need to be evidence of skills around conflict management and safeguarding.

The successful candidate will be required to provide comprehensive care to patients with additional needs, including treatment under sedation and general anaesthetic.

Essential
- Degree in Dental Surgery as recognised by the General Dental Council
- Completion of Foundation Training or equivalent
- Full registration as a dentist with the General Dental Council
- Inclusion on NHS England’s Performer List or be eligible for inclusion prior to starting post

- Relevant post-graduate qualification
