An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team on Ward 3, we are seeking to recruit 2 a highly enthusiastic and motivated team players who will assist the registered nurse/other healthcare professional in providing high quality patient care.
The department specialises in stroke/neuro rehabilitation and compromises a 16 bedded stroke unit. The Stroke Department is a friendly and caring environment providing care to the most critically / acutely ill patients. Our current Stroke wards regularly receive excellent feedback from patients and their families about our caring staff. The aim of Ward 3 is to provide holistic care for stroke patients, utilising a co-ordinated multidisciplinary approach, resulting in optimal patient outcomes.
Main duties of the job
Your role will be to support nursing staff to provide high quality care to patients, providing personal care ensuring they are comfortable and assist with feeding and ensuring adequate hydration. You will be required to have excellent communication skills as we work within a highly motivated multidisciplinary team.
You will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other ward / department duties as required, e.g. general tidiness, replenish stock and ensure clinical equipment is clean, working and stored correctly. You will also contribute to the work and improvement of the department by working under direct or indirect supervision of registered practitioners or assistant practitioners.
