The Role

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out care duties for patients, in support of a registered nurse, and will regularly work unsupervised. The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward environment.

In this key role, you will:

  • Carry out assigned tasks to deliver and support direct patient care, under the direction of a registered nurse, to ensure delivery of a high quality of patient care
  • Commitment to ongoing personal development, as identified personally or due to the needs of the services
  • Participate in personal career development planning to maintain skills and develop personal growth through training and education.
  • Knowledge of all relevant National and Local Policies, legislation, procedures, etc

What You'll Bring:

  • SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
