The Role

The Clinical Site Co-ordinator is responsible for the operational management, including clinical leadership and co-ordination of operation/site issues to ensure the efficient, safe and smooth running of the services on a rotational rota. As well as staff deployment, clinical and bed management roles, the post holder will provide expert support, advice and guidance to members of the multidisciplinary team.

The working pattern for this role is: Rotational

In this key role, you will:

  • Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients to ensure delivery of a high standard of care.
  • Responsible for the management of the site, including work allocation, deployment and supervision of staff. As site’s priorities change, this allocation will be continually assessed and tasks reallocated.
  • To manage all groups of nursing staff within the Hospital site during the night hours.
  • To maintain effective communications with patients / carers and all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that the appropriate information is shared and patient needs are met.

What You'll Bring:

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
  • Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level.
  • Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice.
  • Management qualification or equivalent gained through experience and continuous professional development.
