We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and committed nurse to join the Imperial Clinical Respiratory Research Unit (ICRRU), supporting a diverse and expanding portfolio of clinical research studies.

The successful applicant will work within a specialist team delivering research across a broad range of respiratory conditions, including Asthma, Tuberculosis, Interstitial Lung Disease, Pleural disease, COPD and Chronic Cough. The portfolio includes both commercial and academic studies, encompassing observational and complex interventional trials.

You will work closely with a supportive and experienced team of Principal Investigators and multidisciplinary clinical teams, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care within a research setting. We are a welcoming, collaborative and forward-thinking team committed to excellence in research and patient care.

Main duties of the job

  • To facilitate efficient, safe and participant-focused research.
  • To contribute to the management of the local portfolio of clinical research studies.
  • Advises staff and researchers, acting as a knowledgeable resource on matters relating to clinical practice and research, promoting an active and effective research culture.
  • To co-ordinate the care of your own caseload of clinical research study participants.
  • To contribute to the development of research protocols.
  • To assist in the process of gaining local regulatory committee approval (ethics and R&D approval).
  • Continue your own professional development keeping updated with current practice.
  • Prioritise workload as appropriate and delegate tasks/activities to a range of team members and evaluate outcomes in conjunction with Divisional Research Manager.
