Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join our CAMHS team, leading assessment, diagnosis, advice, and intervention for children and young people undergoing assessment for neurodevelopmental conditions. The role also involves leading collaboration between CAMHS and community paediatrics. The successful applicant will be based within CAMHS, providing clinical input across the neurodevelopmental (ND) pathway in both CAMHS and community paediatric services. This is a full-time post (37.5 hours, MondayFriday). Flexible and hybrid working options are available in line with LPT policy, with face-to-face clinical work in a clinic setting. Main duties of the job

The postholder will provide highly specialist assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based advice on interventions for children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions. This includes conducting diagnostic assessments, producing reports, developing psychological formulations, and delivering interventions within a scientist-practitioner framework. The role requires applying advanced psychological theory to interpret complex information and communicate it clearly to families and professionals. You will work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams, offering specialist consultation and advice as needed. Working alongside the Senior Educational Psychologist, you will support the development and delivery of LPTs strategic vision for a Neurodiversity team. This will involve contributing to service processes such as assessment, training, awareness-raising, and evaluation, ensuring a coordinated and effective response across LPT and partner settings, including schools.
