An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Prostate Cancer team for a energetic and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist working on a permanent contract over part-time hours
This opportunity will look to support our established Prostate Clinical Team in the ongoing care of those diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Working pattern is likely to be Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Main duties of the job
The Prostate Clinical Nurse Specialist, will play a vital role in the assessment, treatment, and ongoing support of patients diagnosed with prostate cancer and other prostate-related issues. They will work closely with consultants, surgeons, and allied health professionals to deliver patient-centred care, education, and symptom management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical care and advice to patients throughout the prostate cancer pathway
- Coordinate patient care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up
- Deliver education and support to patients and their families
- Act as a key link between patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to audit, research, and service development initiatives
- Audit and data collection of role to provide feedback to Bayer
