Job overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dietitian to join our team as Clinical Lead for Paediatric Dietetics at Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic, clinical and operational leadership across a well-established paediatric dietetic service spanning acute, outpatient and community settings. The post holder will play a key role in maintaining and developing services, driving quality improvement, and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred nutritional care.

A central component of the role is providing specialist clinical leadership in neonatal nutrition, supporting care across neonatal intensive care, transitional care and post-discharge pathways. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.

We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking leader with advanced clinical expertise in paediatrics and neonates, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to service development, education and staff support.

The position is offered on a fixed-term basis.

If you are ready to take the next step in your leadership journey, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the operational day to day running of the service as well holding a strategic outlook on service development and growth.  The post holder will act as a source of expertise and specialist advice for others.  The clinical lead will supervise, lead and manage a small team of dietitians and students to ensure ongoing development and growth.

Strong partnership working with the wider MDT and positive collaboration will be required to ensure ongoing service development.   The post holder will report to the Head of Therapies for Children and Young People and work closely in partnership to integrate paediatric dietetics into therapies and the wider division.
