Were looking for a proactive and organised individual to join our team as Colposcopy Booking Co-ordinator and CSPL administrator. This role is central to ensuring patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner, supporting the Colposcopy and CSPL lead.
The fundamental role is to ensure that Cervical cancer audits are completed in a timely manner managing cancer and screening targets.
This is a part-time position, and candidates would be required to work 30 hours a week. Applicants may be required to provide cross site cover.
If you're confident working with reporting systems, databases and excel, have a keen eye for spotting data issues, and enjoy collaborating with a wide range of colleagues, wed love to hear from you. You'll need to be self-motivated, highly organised, and able to prioritise competing demands while maintaining accuracy under pressure. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll be liaising with Specialist Nurses, clinicians and external NHS departments.

Main duties of the job
To provide a high standard medical secretarial and administrative support to the Colposcopy service and Consultants, including managing electronic diary of appointments, word processing, filing, audio-typing, and composition of letters, booking clinical appointments and to maintain the colposcopy databases.
To deal with complex routine and non-routine queries from patients, visitors, clinicians and other internal or external parties.
To receive and communicate difficult sensitive and confidential information, using tact and persuasion skills whilst communicating with anxious/distraught patients and relatives often with language and communication difficulties.
To prepare appropriate responses and requests for Consultants and medical staff.

- Minimum of 1 years administrative, secretarial, or clerical experience.

- Experience of working within Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
- Experience and knowledge of NHS reporting requirements i.e.18 weeks RTT.

- GCSE/CSE A to C Grade in English & Maths

- Understanding and having a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages and IT systems, especially Excel
- Strong telephone etiquette, the ideal candidate will exhibit a courteous and respectful approach when communicating with patients, colleagues, and external parties.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively, whilst dealing with complex competing priorities.
- Exhibits resourceful problem-solving skills finding solutions to problems that may arise in day-to-day operations.
- Experience in word processing, audio, copy typing skills.
