Children's Therapies Administrator
Are you an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys working as part of a supportive team? We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly Children's Therapies Team based at the Children's Centre at the Royal United Hospitals Bath.
In this varied and rewarding office-based role, you will provide essential administrative support to our dedicated team of Children's Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, helping to ensure children and families receive the highest standard of care.
Working alongside an experienced colleague, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the service. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing telephone calls and email enquiries from parents and carers, as well as liaising with professionals across health, education and social care services. Strong communication, organisational and multitasking skills are essential, as you will be supporting a busy and dynamic team.
We are looking for someone who is confident, approachable and able to work efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail. Previous administrative experience within a healthcare setting and familiarity with electronic patient record systems would be advantageous, although not essential.

- Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications

Knowledge & Experience

- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of office and administrative processes
- Ability to learn hospital database systems
- Able to learn medical terminology and use this effectively as an integral part of the role.

- Experience within the NHS or similar health care setting

Qualifications & Training

- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- Post-GCSE qualification e.g. A level, Advanced apprenticeship, NVQ 3 or equivalent experience

Physical Skills & Emotional Effort

- Physical dexterity required for touch-typing keyboard skills Physical effort required for moving around the department to ward area. Reasonable adjustments will be made for staff with a disability.
