Ravenswood House is a medium secure unit providing assessment, care and treatment for adults with serious mental illness or personality disorder who need to receive their care in a medium secure environment. Most of our patients have either committed a criminal offence or have challenging behaviour.
Main duties of the job
As a Charge Nurse you will take charge of a ward regularly and accept duties as delegated by the clinical ward manager. You will support the management of a ward including the deployment, supervision, teaching of staff/students and resources.
You will be responsible for assessing individual care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care as well as setting standards of care and you will take responsibility for the management, deployment and supervision of junior staff in the unit throughout the span of duty when on night duty.
