Are you looking for a fresh challenge? An excellent opportunity has arisen, for a Charge Nurse to work within the older adult inpatient service in Muirview ward at Stratheden Hospital.

We are seeking to recruit a dedicated Charge Nurse who has an interest in older adult acute admissions. This position will provide the successful candidate opportunities to up skill in leadership and management at ward level and allow autonomy as clinical lead to assist the Senior Charge Nurse drive forwards innovative/collaborative working, and deliver an excellent care service to people who have significant functional and cognitive decline whilst providing care and support upon discharge home or other care service.

You will be responsible for providing assurance to the SCN that care needs are being met as well as clinical audit and staff development/ training. You must be motivated by the challenges of this environment and willing to contribute to the evolving provision and development of services.

The successful candidate must also possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to demonstrate clinical and professional competency working within a multi-disciplinary team. You must have a good knowledge of current legislation and drivers for delivering mental health care.
