We are looking for a motivated and experienced Care & Support Team Leader to join our care home service supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism and acquired brain injuries (ABI). We are looking for a motivated and experienced Care & Support Team Leader to join our care home service supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism and acquired brain injuries (ABI). Youll be working 39.8 hours per week, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Fairways.

Located in a beautiful Suffolk village, Fairways supports adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs who may have behaviours that challenge. The home provides longer term placements for individuals who require round the clock care and support. Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do based on each individuals specific need.

Your Day-to-Day:

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the management team in the smooth running of the service.

Provide enhanced, person-centred care using a flexible and individualised approach

Offer guidance, encouragement and emotional/physical support to service users

Understand each individuals needs and deliver support in the most appropriate and empowering way

Support with medical, health and welfare needs, ensuring accurate reporting

Assist in the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring high standards are maintained

Take on supervisory responsibilities, including supporting and guiding staff

Complete administrative tasks in line with service requirements

Ensure safeguarding principles are upheld at all times

Maintain a safe, clean and supportive environment for residents and staff

You are:

We are looking for someone with the right experience, values and ambition to lead by example:

Minimum 2 years experience working in a care home or similar setting

Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism and/or ABI

Currently a Support Worker looking to progress into a leadership role

Passionate about making a genuine difference in peoples lives

Confident, proactive and assertive, with the ability to lead a team

Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player

Compassionate, intuitive and resilient, with a positive attitude

Able to promote independence and empower service users

Organised, reliable, and eager to develop leadership and management skills
