Job summary

To provide effective utilisation of theatres and outpatient departments to maximise capacity, commercial benefit, and throughput of patients in line with safe standards of care. To work alongside clinical areas such as theatres, wards, outpatient nursing, endoscopy, pre-assessment, physio and imaging to ensure that all resources are available to support assigned cases. To deliver key quality, utilisation and performance plans in line with the hospital's strategy.

Main duties of the job

To provide effective utilisation of theatres and outpatient departments to maximise capacity, commercial benefit, and throughput of patients in line with safe standards of care. To work alongside clinical areas such as theatres, wards, outpatient nursing, endoscopy, pre-assessment, physio and imaging to ensure that all resources are available to support assigned cases. To deliver key quality, utilisation and performance plans in line with the hospital's strategy, and to support the Operations Director in ensuring Spire Nottingham Hospital is the first-choice private hospital in Nottingham for patients and consultants, retaining excellent patient and consultant engagement and satisfaction. Who we're looking for: Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and operational skills to be able to effectively negotiate and facilitate maximisation of capacity management in a healthcare setting.

Strong communication skills demonstrating an ability to positively influence a wide group of stakeholders and build relationships to deliver a shared goal.

Previous experience of working within the healthcare industry or a similar customer orientated organisation.

Demonstrable ability in problem solving and prioritisation skills.

Swiftly understand the cause of challenges and be able to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve.

Willingness to take ownership and responsibility to deliver solutions through creative and quick thinking.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.

Hunger and passion for increasing patient throughput.

Willingness to have difficult conversations with senior clinicians and colleagues to improve utilisation
