This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team, leading Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services across Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich. It is a 12 month fixed term role, which will work alongside the existing post holder at a time of significant transformation and development.
As Service Manager, you will be part of the Directorate Management team, working closely with the senior operational and clinical teams and external stakeholders, to operationally manage and develop a diverse portfolio of services. You will be responsible for providing strong and visible leadership across the boroughs of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich.

Main duties of the job
Through effective leadership and management, to ensure the safe, efficient, responsive and effective delivery of CAMHS - providing high quality mental health services to children, young people, parents/carers and professionals across Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich.
To ensure the services are delivered in accordance with national and local policies, priorities and regulatory frameworks and meet all performance targets. To ensure that reporting requirements to commissioners are met.
To develop and implement CAMHS strategies and priorities and operate as a key management lead within the Leadership Team.
To act as a system leader in the provision of effective and responsive mental health services to children and young people, working in partnership with external organisations.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To support the transformation of services.
- To have managerial responsibility, accountability and lead service change for CAMHS services in Bromley, Bexley and Greenwich.
- To contribute pro-actively to the strategic development of the Directorate and Trust.
- To build effective networks and working alliances internally and externally.
- To ensure appropriate clinical and professional leadership and advice is in place for the directly managed and associated services.
- To provide expert advice to the Directorate, the Trust and external agencies in respect of the post holder’s area of responsibility.
- To have the designated lead for individual strategic/operational work streams on behalf of the Directorate/Trust.
- To be accountable for service delivery and implement key national and local requirements.
- Work in partnership internally and externally to deliver evidence based, high quality care and treatment.
