Main duties of the job

  • Ensure that the day-to-day processing of orders occurs in a timely fashion demonstrating value for money.
  • Provide advice and support on placing requisitions. Ensuring Stakeholders have the knowledge in the use of the i-proc system (Oracle) effectively and how invoice notifications work and what is required to resolve them.
  • To support the Clinical and Non-clinical teams in the provision of all procurement and contracting activities and to support the delivery of the departmental work plan.
  • Supports line management by reliably prioritising and managing own work.
  • Support the organisation in obtaining best value in sourcing supplies and services.
  • Support the Senior Procurement team in ensuring compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations, Standing Financial Instructions, rules, policies, and procedures.
  • To support the Clinical and Non-clinical teams to ensure that all stakeholders are engaged in the procurement processes.
  • Flagging any potential non-contractual or non-catalogue items that could be potentially procured more efficiently via the catalogue spend to Senior Procurement Managers.
  • To maintain the highest possible standard of integrity in all relationships with all internal customers, outside organisations, and suppliers.
