Job overview

12‑month Fixed Term / Secondment

Are you an exceptional organiser who thrives in a fast‑paced, forward‑thinking environment? Do you want to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of health and care across Sussex?

About Us

The Sussex Provider Collaborative (SPC) is entering an exciting new phase of transformation. As an “all‑in” partnership of NHS organisations across Primary Care, Mental Health, Learning Disability, Community, Acute and Ambulance services, we are working collectively to deliver change at scale, improving quality, care, and outcomes for our population.

Our Programme Delivery Team (PDT) drives this transformation. We lead neighbourhood, acute and system‑wide programmes that bring together expertise from across Sussex providers to deliver measurable, meaningful improvements.

This is a rare chance to work across organisational boundaries as part of a truly system‑first, provider‑agnostic team.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, highly organised Business Support Officer to provide high‑quality executive, administrative and programme support.

You will play a central role in ensuring our programme leaders, and the wider team, operate effectively.

Why Join Us?

  • Work across a wide network of NHS providers
  • Influence programmes that directly improve patient experience and health outcomes
  • Be part of an ambitious team driving change at county scale
  • Gain exposure to senior leaders across multiple organisations
  • Work hybrid and flexibly across Sussex

Main duties of the job

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive diary and inbox management for senior leaders
  • Coordinating meetings, boards, steering groups and cross‑system governance
  • Preparing agendas, papers, and high‑quality minutes capturing actions, decisions and risks
  • Supporting programme reporting, data collation and the preparation of briefings
  • Liaising with multiple organisations, building strong relationships across the system
  • Maintaining organised digital filing systems and governance logs
  • Supporting workshops, events, training sessions and new workstream mobilisation

This is a varied, high‑impact role requiring excellent organisation, communication, and attention to detail.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in providing executive or high‑level administrative support
  • Skilled in diary management, minute‑taking and multi‑stakeholder coordination
  • Confident using Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • A strong communicator with great writing skills
  • Able to work flexibly, manage competing priorities and operate in a fast‑paced environment
  • Collaborative, inclusive, and committed to system‑first working

NHS or public‑sector experience is desirable but not essential.

Additional Information

  • Travel across Sussex may be required for meetings and events
  • Hybrid working is supported in line with local policy
