Job summary
As a group of Specialist Services, we work closely with other health providers such as Primary Care, Acute Hospitals, & Ambulance service as well other services within Sirona such as the Integrated Network Teams (INTs).
We work closely with the Voluntary sector to support a pathway approach to managing long term conditions. We have a strong focus on collaborative working to enable knowledge and skill development to improve patient health needs and outcomes.
The specialist services work as role models and an expert resource to ensure that health care professionals within and outside the organisation have access to the right knowledge, skills and resources so that evidence based care is embedded as a fundamental tenet across all pathways.
The Respiratory Service hours are 08:00-18:30.The role will be based at New Friends Hall, Stapleton, Bristol, BS16 1EQ, Monday - Friday. Travel between Sirona sites will be required.
The Specialist Advice and Support Services (SASS) division provide four core functions:
- Clinical advice and support
- Direct assessment, treatment and intervention
- Education training and workforce development
- Support of advanced care planning and end of life care
Main duties of the job
You will be working closely with the Service Managers and Clinical and Operational Leads, you will provide robust co-ordination across key areas of work within the services you support.
You will have overall responsibility for the collation and reporting of all quality assurance data and key performance indicators required.
You will provide project management support in service redesign and ongoing development of Specialist Services.
You will manage the Respiratory Services' administrative team, providing line management, supervision, training and support; as well as supporting the Service Mangers diary and meeting organisation.

Qualifications / Training
Essential
- Minimum 4 GCSE passes (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English or demonstrable ability in Mathematics and English.
- Significant practical experience in a wide range of relevant administrative procedures, preferably supported by an NVQ 4 in administration or equivalent training/demonstrable experience
- Evidence of undertaking personal/professional development.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- Experience in an administrative role with a high level of responsibility
- Experience of supervising staff within an administrative team setting
- Experience of working in a high pressured environment
- Experience of carrying out regular staff reviews or appraisals, including working with staff to identify development needs
- Experience of complex data management and reporting
Desirable
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of Patient Information Systems e.g. EMIS
- Experience of developing and managing databases
- Good understanding of health and safety issues in an office environment
