The role:

The post holder will provide clerical and administrative support to Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services (ADRS), offering front-line assistance to staff and services. This includes supporting clinics, managing prescriptions, handling calls, reception duties, financial tasks (e.g., bus tickets), minute taking for ADRS MDT meetings, and supporting statutory processes. Admin support provides front-facing assistance to service users with drug and alcohol issues and back-office support to social workers, nurses, and managers to deliver priority and statutory services and achieve key performance targets.

Work will be carried out within established protocols and Board policies, including Health & Safety, Data Protection, and Confidentiality, with supervision and guidance from an Administration Assistant / Administrative Officer after induction and on-the-job training.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

This is a Permanent working 18 hours, you will work these hours over Monday & Tuesday – 9am – 5pm, Wednesday 9am – 12:30pm

This post will be based within Rowan Business Park, 5 Ardlaw Street, Glasgow, G51 3RR working with the ADRS – Alcohol & Drugs Recovery Services and you must have the flexibility required to cover other bases within the South Sector

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.

Key responsibilities:

The post holder will provide front-line administrative support to ADRS staff and services, including prescription management and clinic support, call handling, and reception duties. They will carry out financial tasks, such as issuing bus tickets, and take minutes for ADRS Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings.

In addition, the post holder will provide back-office support to ensure statutory and priority services are delivered effectively, working in accordance with all Board policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Data Protection, and Confidentiality.

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
