We are looking for a Team Manager to join our Booking & Information Centre.

As the front door to our service, the BIC supports patients, their representatives, and health and care professionals to access timely, high-quality information and services. The team provides compassionate, non-judgemental support, enabling patients to book appointments, understand their care pathway, and connect with additional support where needed.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a busy operational environment and is looking to build hands-on leadership experience, develop decision-making and coaching skills, and gain exposure to cross-functional working.

In this role, you will lead a designated team, with responsibility for performance, engagement, and the delivery of quality standards, supporting the provision of an efficient and effective, patient-focused service. You will report into the BIC Manager, with hybrid working in place once training is complete.

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a proactive, collaborative approach.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for managing & motivating a designated team of Booking & Information Centre staff to ensure the delivery of a consistent client orientated service to defined service standards to internal & external customers.

You will contribute to the development & maintenance of internal systems, procedures, & methods of operation to achieve improved performance & a better client service.

You will have a talent for managing, motivating, & developing a variety of people. Your friendly, engaging & coaching management style will help our support teams to achieve optimum levels of performance. Adept at solving problems and utilising resources your "can do" attitude will ensure that the Booking & Information Centre continues to deliver an exceptional service to our clients.

You will also bring:

  • Great leadership skills, with the ability to set direction and motivate staff.
  • Ability to work with multiple teams and work closely within a team of Managers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to calm stressful situations as well as remaining calm.
  • Previous experience working in a administrative capacity with responsibility for the utilisation of resources.
  • Self-motivation, a drive to get the best out of people and to achieve results.
