What Youll Be Doing
Youll play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and responsive sexual health services, including:
- Providing nurse-led clinics for sexual health, contraception, and STI management
- Delivering and managing long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) including implants and IUD/IUS
- Supporting patients with screening, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care
- Offering health promotion, education, and counselling to improve patient outcomes
- Managing your own caseload autonomously while contributing to team-based care
- Supporting the day-to-day running of clinics and ensuring smooth service delivery
- Providing clinical leadership and guidance to junior colleagues
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration
- FSRH Diploma (or equivalent) in contraception
- STIF Foundation (Intermediate desirable)
- Proven experience in sexual health services (Band 6 or experienced Band 5)
- Competence in implant and IUD/IUS fitting & removal (essential)
- Experience working with Patient Group Directions (PGDs)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes*
*travel across Coventry & Warwickshire is required.
- Non-Medical Prescriber qualification
- Experience in HIV care, STI symptomatic screening, or sexual health advising
- Teaching or mentorship experience
