As part of a wider multi-disciplinary team the post holder will be responsible for the day to day operational management of the waiting list initiative project including co-ordinating clinical service and administrative function, waiting lists, and to provide senior administrative support to the Service Manager.
This project will end March 2026.
Main duties of the job
To manage, co-ordinate, plan and support delivery of a waiting list initiative project for children's ASD diagnostics.
This will include co-ordinating staff rotas, booking Bank staff, estates management, stock control, managing waiting list, co-ordinating booking appointments, follow up letters & reports, answering queries from staff and service users, escalating where required.
Regular feedback in terms of DNA's/attendance at appointments and impact on the waiting list.
In addition, this role will also entail liaising and co-ordinating with partner organisations to facilitate smooth delivery of ASD diagnostics in preparation of cases, and uploading of completed diagnostic reports.

Essential
- Minimum 2 years previous senior experience
- Experience of working in a clinical environment
- Experience of preparation of reports and taking of minutes, together with setting agendas and distribution of associated papers
Desirable
- Knowledge of NHS terminology and structure

- • Able to prioritise and plan work in a busy environment and to tight deadlines delegating where appropriate and planning other’s workload
- Ability to organise and evaluate data Experience of maintaining databases
- • Ability to adapt to change and develop services and systems to meet changing needs
- • Capable of dealing with non-routine activities such as building issues, training issues etc
- • Able to work on a variety of tasks with deadlines at any one time without supervision
- • Ability to organise and evaluate data, assessing its importance by creating and maintaining databases and spreadsheets
- • Takes initiative and uses own judgement in anticipating and dealing with queries and problems and prioritise accordingly
- • Ability to work with clients and families by elevating anxiety by ensuring that their appointments are allocated in a timely manner that works well for them
Education & Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE English and Maths Pass or above
- In depth experience or theoretical study of techniques/processes e.g. BTEC, relevant degree
Desirable
- Knowledge of NHS RIO database, previous NHS work experience, Excellent IT Skills,
