Job summary
Are you an experienced, dynamic autonomous Nurse looking for a flexible job? Greenwich Health is looking for a qualified Nurse to work in our dressing clinics across the borough of Greenwich. The sessions are for 4 hours and you can work on a flexible basis, booking shifts to suit you.
Main duties of the job
Working across 4 existing locations to suit. We are looking for current NMC registered Nurses with a recent wound care update (within past year) to work 4 hour shifts during the week and weekend. Indemnity is provided.
appointment slots seeing the following:
General wounds (cuts and grazes
Leg ulcers (compression during the week only, not weekends)
Post I & D abscess
surgical post op wound (including plastics for finger crush injuries)
Suture removal
Burns (Follow Up)
Foot dressings (inc ulcers, podiatry and post op in-growing toe nail)
Animal bites (Follow Up)
Principal duties and responsibilities
- To be responsible for setting high standards of care within the resources available and to review and monitor these on a continuous basis, through the process of audit, to ensure continuing quality of care.
- Contribute to the delivery of evidence based personalised and compassionate care placing quality at the heart of specialist practice.
- To undertake nurse-led clinics to ensure continuity of service provision.
- To maintain high quality clinical electronic and paper records as applicable respecting confidentiality at all times.
