Job summary
Working with a busy primary care team, you'll be the first point of contact for patients, helping them access the right care at the right time. You'll play a key role in creating a positive experience for patients, carers and visitors. As part of a supportive admin team, you'll help services run smoothly across GP practices and the Care Navigation Hub. Your work helps people get the help they need quickly and safely, improving their overall care journey.
Main duties of the job
What you'll do:
- Welcome and support patients, responding to enquiries face to face and by phone
- Signpost patients to appropriate services following care pathways
- Manage appointments and update records using Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications accurately and in a timely way
- Support team tasks, meetings and improvements to admin processes
What we're looking for:
- Strong communication and customer care skills
- Experience in an office or admin role, or transferable skills
- Good organisation and ability to manage your own workload
- Confidence using IT systems and maintaining accurate records
- A team-focused approach and willingness to be flexible to meet service needs
