We are looking to recruit Administration staff who will come and join our friendly support teams across various departments at the Isle of Wight Trust

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Answer telephone calls, respond to emails, and handle general enquiries from patients, staff, and external agencies.
  • Book and manage appointments, clinics, and meetings using NHS systems.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with data protection and confidentiality policies.
  • Distribute post and manage incoming/outgoing correspondence.
  • Support the wider team with tasks such as preparing documents, updating spreadsheets, and maintaining databases.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with NHS policies, procedures, and values.

Skills and Experience:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, email systems).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
