Are you a qualified Family & Systemic Psychotherapist looking to work within a specialist Adult Eating Disorders Service?
We're looking for a qualified Family & Systemic Psychotherapist registered with UKCP (or an equivalent professional body) to join our established multidisciplinary team in Buckinghamshire. This part-time role (22.5 hours per week) offers the opportunity to deliver specialist assessment and evidence-based family interventions for adults with eating disorders and their families.
Working alongside psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, dietitians and a Consultant Family & Systemic Psychotherapist, you'll contribute a systemic perspective to assessment, formulation and treatment while receiving regular clinical supervision and support. You'll also contribute to consultation, service development and the continued delivery of high-quality, NICE-concordant care.

Main duties of the job
- Deliver specialist family and systemic psychotherapy for adults with eating disorders and their families.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively within an experienced multidisciplinary team, contributing systemic formulations and consultation.
- Contribute to supervision, teaching and service development appropriate to your experience.
The ability to travel independently between sites within the Trust is essential for this role.

About the role
As a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist within our Adult Eating Disorders Service, you'll play a key role in delivering specialist assessment and evidence-based systemic interventions for adults and their families. You'll work collaboratively within a well-established multidisciplinary team, contributing systemic formulation, consultation and specialist expertise to support high-quality patient care.
You'll receive regular clinical supervision from a Consultant Family & Systemic Psychotherapist and have opportunities to contribute to supervision, teaching, service development and the continued evolution of our specialist service.

Essential
- Specialist knowledge and application of family therapy assessment, interventions and family therapy process relevant to client group
- Knowledge of evidence based in relation to adult mental health
- Knowledge and application of standardised assessments and outcome measures
Experience
Essential
- Experience of assessment / intervention with adults and families in a mental health or equivalent setting
- Experience of maintaining a caseload
- Participation in teaching or training
- Research and audit experience and skills
Desirable
- Experience of running/co running groups.
- Experience of working in a multi-cultural framework
Qualifications
Essential
- Postgraduate qualification in family and systemic psychotherapy
- Registration as a systemic psychotherapist with UKCP or equivalent body
Desirable
- Post graduate qualification in a relevant field of mental health or social welfare (or established equivalence according to AFT criteria)
