Job overview
The Preceptorship and Clinical Supervision Manager
will ensure that the clinical workforce have access to the appropriate development and supervision support in line with regulatory requirements.
The post holder will ensure that all clinical staff have access to a clinical induction, preceptorship programme and clinical supervision.
The post holder will work in partnership with the clinical divisions to develop clinical staff that require additional support to improve and develop their clinical practice.
The post holder will also support with preparation to role work across the service, providing support with career events, interview preparation and application support where appropriate
Main duties of the job
- Manage the clinical induction process ensuring that all divisions have the appropriate support required to develop and maintain a local clinical induction.
- Develop manage and eva evaluate the Trust Preceptorship programme, ensuring an evidence-based preceptorship document is in place. Ensure a robust database is developed and maintained that identifies all preceptees progress and completion information as appropriate.

Key Relationships
The postholder will need to establish effective working relationships with the following:
- Nursing and AHP Education Leads
- Develo and maintain the Preceptorship policy, ensuring that all newly registered clinicians have access to and complete the programme and are supported in line with the policy.
- Develop, implement and evaluate evidence-based Preceptorship training ensuring that all preceptees and preceptors receive the appropriate training as required.
- Manage the Clinical Supervision process ensuring that all divisions have the appropriate support required to develop and maintain Clinical Supervision.
- Undertake regular research activity relevant to educational practice and the clinical environment.
- Develop and maintain a robust Clinical Supervision database ensuring that it identifies all Clinical Supervision training and activity.
- Develop and maintain the Clinical Supervision policy, ensuring that all newly registered clinicians have access to the clinical supervision and are supported in line with the policy
