Job overview

The Workforce Information Team has a 14 month Fixed Term/Secondment vacancy for the role of Workforce Systems Implementation Administrator (specialising in e-rostering and e-expenses). We are currently rolling out e-rostering and Medic On Duty to our large Dental Division, and we need the post holder to continue to lead on the implementation in conjunction with the project team and promote the associated functionality.

The role requires a full hands-on ability and understanding of functionality of e-rostering and ideally electronic expenses. The post holder will create and maintain rostering configuration, provide expert advice and training for system users, analyse the system information ensuring it is correct especially in regards to payments, and to provide management reports.

You will be working with trust managers helping them in their use of our systems and also supporting managers and HR colleagues in understanding information, identifying trends, and highlighting issues which impact on service provision.

Experience

Essential

  • Relevant systems management experience of electronic rostering systems within the NHS
  • Relevant experience of using other workforce systems (such as ESR)
  • Relevant experience of delivering training on workforce systems
  • Relevant experience of producing training materials on workforce systems
  • Relevant experience of analysing large and complex datasets to identify data quality issues and to provide management information

Desirable

  • Relevant experience of administering e-expenses systems

Skills/knowledge

Essential

  • Expert knowledge of rostering practices
  • Working knowledge of pay, terms and conditions for NHS workers
  • Working knowledge of supporting IT software such as Microsoft Excel to analyse and provide reports

Personal qualities

Essential

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders to explain, guide and advise on the use of workforce systems
  • Ability to provide a customer focussed support service with regards to training and advice

  • Degree level training or equivalent work experience
  • e-rostering training or equivalent experience
