Jevington Ward is a busy, acute and dynamic 28 bedded Medical Ward that specialises in General Medicine. The team is both friendly and supportive, with a strong commitment to providing a high standard of care, and we are looking for highly motivated, dynamic and passionate individuals.
Our aim is to maximise and deliver excellent patient care by using all the resources available. To reduce length of hospital, stay and maintain patient flow. This is achieved by having a daily multi-disciplinary meeting, to discuss every patient. The Hospital Intervention Team, Social Services, medical teams and the nursing staff, meet to establish the needs of the patient, the management plan and how a safe discharge can be achieved in the timeliest manner.
We will provide a supportive atmosphere, mentorship training, clinical support and supervision on the ward and we are committed to professional development of all staff. Team working is an integral part of this ward with all staff are enabled and empowered to make a real difference for their patients. You will need to be well motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and to your personal professional development.

Main duties of the job
The Registered Nurse will provide a high standard of nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of patient care. The post holder will work closely with the Nurse/ Team Manager and Team Leaders. Your responsibilities will include undertaking clinical skills and treatments and the safe admission and discharge of patients.

- Registered Nurse and hold active registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Diploma/Degree level qualification relevant to role
- Professional qualification and knowledge of patient assessment, planning, developing and implementing programmes of care
- Evidence of mandatory and statutory essential training skills, for example, Basic Life Support, manual handling, infection control, fire etc
- Experience in nursing care, knowledge and expertise acquired through training
