Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our award-winning Payroll Service at University Hospitals Birmingham. Based at Regent Court in Birmingham, Five Ways, our team provides payroll services to over 20 NHS organisations across the UK.
We are looking for a motivated and organised individual to provide clerical and administrative support to the payroll team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills who enjoys working in a busy environment.
This post is for 22.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
Key duties include:
Managing and distributing incoming and outgoing post.
Scanning and distributing payroll documentation received via post and email.
Identifying incomplete forms and liaising with employees and managers to obtain missing information.
Maintaining accurate records and registering payroll documentation.
Responding to payroll-related enquiries by telephone, email and in person.
Supporting payroll teams with general administrative tasks and data input as required.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong attention to detail, and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality. GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/Level 4 or above) are essential.

- Significant Experience working in an NHS payroll environment
