The post holder will provide a comprehensive administrative support to the departments within the Rehabilitation Services.

To work as part of a team and to carry out administrative duties on a day to day basis.  This may include covering essential and appropriate operational duties in the absence of colleagues.

Main duties of the job

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity to join the Stores Team at the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre. The role is varied and fast-paced, providing essential operational support to the Prosthetics and Orthotics Service through the effective management of stock, equipment orders, and deliveries.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing incoming and outgoing deliveries for the Prosthetics and Orthotics Service.
  • Responding to telephone enquiries and queries received by the service, ensuring messages are communicated accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Raising, processing, and completing equipment and stock orders.
  • Assisting with departmental stocktakes as required.
  • Checking goods received against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and escalating any discrepancies or issues to the Team Lead.
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the Stores function to help maintain safe and effective patient care services.

The successful candidate will be organised, reliable, and able to work effectively within a busy team environment while maintaining attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
