An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Theatre Supplies and Logistics Manager based within the Theatre Department. The post holder will be employed by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This role requires cross-site working across both the Northern General and Royal Hallamshire Hospitals.
The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of an efficient, cost-effective, timely and courteous Materials Management and Logistics service across the Trust. The role supports the effective running of theatre services by ensuring the availability of required stock, equipment and supplies.
The post holder will undertake a wide range of duties requiring initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work independently within established procedures.
Main duties of the job
Support the Theatre Supplies and Logistics Manager in the day-to-day operational management of materials management and logistics services.

Experience
Essential
- Extensive experience in a comparable customer-orientated operational environment.
- Experience in working with an inventory Management system
- Experience of controlling stock levels.
- Experience of Inventory Management software
- Experience in staff management

Qualifications
Essential
- Five GCSE grade C/4 (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
- Extensive knowledge of an Inventory Management system

- Membership of, or studying towards, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CIPS) or be willing to work towards.
Skills and Knowledge

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including where information is sensitive or confidential
