Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, experienced Assistant Patient Services Coordinator within our Rheumatology Department. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with drive and enthusiasm to undertake this role. The post is based at Chapel Allerton Hospital. You should be organized, able to prioritize your own workload, work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will need excellent attention to detail to join our dynamic team, demonstrating advanced skills with Trust systems like PAS, SMSPAS and PPM+. The directorate includes medical staff, nursing and research staff, visiting consultants and junior medical staff. Covering all aspects of the job is vital to this role, as well as supporting colleagues where appropriate.

Main duties of the job

You will coordinate the day to day activities of a team of administrative staff including clerical officers, medical secretaries and supervisors. Train and supervise members of their team in all aspects of patient administration service. You will take a lead role in managing the Complex Rehabilitation service being responsible for managing waiting lists , ensuing all patients are seen in accordance with NHS targets.
