Assistant Pathway Coordinator (Band 3)

Dermatology and Plastics Service is looking to recruit a full time Band 3 Assistant Productivity Coordinator to join a busy and dynamic team at Croydon University Hospital.

The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to productivity which will include managing and tracking patient pathways. The role will be varied and challenging and so the post holder will need to have the ability to manage a busy workload.

The post holder will have a degree of autonomy to ensure that deadlines are met and a proactive approach is needed for the day-to-day management of patient pathways ensuring NHS waiting time standards are met. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills are essential to be successful in the role.

Successful candidates will have previous administrative experience of working in an NHS organization and have demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel. Any experience of using hospital systems (e.g. Cerner/EMIS/ERS) is highly desirable.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to productivity which will include managing and tracking patient pathways. The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will provide expertise in the proactive management of the SWL (South West London) Elective Collaboration. They will manage the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly. The post holder will ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer focused and knowledgeable point of contact. The post holder will provide a consistent approach across the trust, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that functions of the role are carried out correctly with given timescales.

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting

  • C-grade in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
